CH-46E is the most numerous helicopter in service with the Marine Corps. It has been in continuous service for almost 30 years and is the mainstay of the Marine’s combat assault capability. Numerous upgrades, modifications and refinements have lengthened the CH-46s service life well into this century. The CH-46E forms an integral part of the Air Combat Element (ACE) as it supports the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF).
