The F-16 Fighting Falcon, or ’Viper’, is the most numerous of USAF aircraft. The F-16 is distinct in appearance because of its large air intake or shock inlet located directly below the pilot. The fighter’s configuration uses wing/body flare to enhance lift at high angles of attack.
