The Beech T-1A Jayhawk provides the USAF with advanced training for aircrew destined for multi-engine tanker/transport aircraft, is now entering service in increasing numbers. Also, the T-1 is the first aircraft to be delivered for the SUPT (Specialized Under graduate Pilot Training) system that is being implemented to make the USAF’s aircrew training more efficient and to cover a shortfall in T-38 capability, the Talon being previously responsible for all advanced training. The Jayhawk also features six fewer cabin windows in total, plus strengthened wing carry-through structure and engine attachment points to meet low-level flight stresses.
