Selected TH-57A Sea Ranger’s were delivered during 1968 to training squadron HT-8 at NAS Whiting Field, Milton, FL. The TH-57A served until the late 80’s and was used for the transition phase of helicopter training. Almost all A models have been retired today, although a few examples are still flown by the Naval Air Warfare Center/Aircraft Division at Patuxent River, MD, on test duties. Initial helicopter training for both US Navy and Marine Corps aircrew is now done on two developed variants of the TH-57A.
